The weekend has arrived, and finally we have some free time to dedicate to ourselves. These 10 km immersed in nature are perfect for the occasion. This itinerary explores the new Giro del Borgo of Monte Grimano Terme and the recently reopened Sentiero dei Segreti, made accessible by Bike-Advisor. It is moderately challenging both on foot and by MTB, but the views are absolutely worth it.
The route starts from Monte Grimano Terme – Piazza Matteotti and the Giardini Unità d’Italia, where you enter the Giro del Borgo. The first descent is a bit steep, so some caution is advised. After about 1 km, the trail starts climbing again toward the village of Monte Grimano.
A short stop at Parco Ciacci allows for a brief rest before beginning the second part of the itinerary: the ascent to Monte San Paolo via the Suripe trail.
At the top of Monte San Paolo, after the Garibaldi Monument (Cippo di Garibaldi), the descent follows the Sentiero dei Segreti, winding through the Monte San Paolo forest down to the Fonti di Meleto, and then back to Monte Grimano Terme.
