The weekend is back, and so is the desire to spend time outdoors. Today, we recommend a 10 km itinerary that starts and ends in Monte Grimano Terme, exploring Monte San Lorenzo, home to the Astronomical Observatory.
The route is also suitable for bikers, although it’s a bit short for cycling. From Monte Grimano, descend along the new Giro del Borgo trail to San Donato. Then climb toward Monte San Lorenzo, starting on a paved section and continuing through a forested path.
You reach the Monte San Lorenzo Astronomical Observatory and continue through the woods along the first descent to Ca’Secco.
From there, the trail continues immersed in nature to Molino Giovanetti, where you will need to follow the provincial road for a few hundred meters.
Returning to San Donato, begin the ascent back to Monte Grimano via Ca’Manente (where the ancient medieval tower is visible), then Ca’Mazza, and finally the Giro del Borgo back to Monte Grimano.
Follow the route directly on the map.
