From the TTT (Territorial Table for Tourism) comes The Lovely Places (www.thelovelyplaces.com), a project for tourism development and promotion in collaboration with #SanMarino and 116 neighboring municipalities across Marche and Emilia-Romagna, including Monte Grimano Terme.
It highlights the excellence of a territory with nature as a unifying thread, through which slow and green routes and itineraries are developed. Between culture, art, sport, fun, and wellness, visitors can explore enchanting places—truly #thelovelyplaces, as the project’s name suggests.
How The Lovely Places Was Born
It was born during one of the most challenging periods of modern history, from an idea of the Secretariat of State for Tourism of the Republic of San Marino, but not only… The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the support of the Italian Ministry of Tourism also played a key role. The ambition is to open a new phase of synergistic tourism development for San Marino and the surrounding territories.
The initiative is called the “Sustainable Tourism Development Project” and is at the core of the activities of the TTT (Territorial Table for Tourism)—a qualified working group involving the State of San Marino, two Italian regions (Marche and Emilia-Romagna), and 116 neighboring municipalities.
This ambitious project aims to create a network capable of coordinating a tourism offer that highlights the shared excellence of a vast, unique, and opportunity-rich territory. It’s an innovative approach that allows values and ideals to be shared in line with international guidelines.
The project looks to the future of tourism, aiming to make it more sustainable and capable of generating benefits not only for businesses in the tourism sector but for the entire local community. It is innovative both in its methodology and in its strong focus on a shared value for the entire area. Nature and the environment are the unifying thread, along which slow and green routes and itineraries are developed.
The TTT (Territorial Table for Tourism), Including Monte Grimano Terme
This is a project designed to create an “aggregated system of tourism value”, realized through a series of general objectives and initiatives to be carried forward in the TTT’s ongoing work. The goal is not merely to engage in discussion, but to move as quickly as possible into the action phase for a synergistic approach. The aim is to accelerate the development of the territories through internal cooperation, integration, and systematization of opportunities.
The project arises from the need to establish a new way of experiencing the territorial heritage. The territory becomes an incubator for innovation and for the enhancement of local excellence, acknowledging that the models previously used for tourism promotion—while useful—are no longer sufficient to fully meet the evolving needs of the tourist and economic communities of the region.
